Why? Where? How? As I reach my early 50's I am somewhat concerned with my future... especially my "retirement". Not that I have been caught off guard by its swift approach. I have actually been aggressively saving since the mid 1980's. But in these times I wonder...will my savings outlast me? What is the best course of action to insure a happy and healthy second half of my life? That's why I have been compiling alternatives... options... for the future. Changes.... I have been able over the years to acquire a modest home and some of the "trappings" of a normal American life. But I see changes (or maybe it's the lack of changes that are) eroding the quality of life in America. Many of the changes are beyond anyones control. So perhaps it's time to start thinking of a simpler more manageable life style. A healthier way of living outside of the boarders of what I have known...time to open up to a world of new opportunities.
